I came across this interesting site today and thought I would share;

"In 1997 scores of young people, reared or educated in St. Louis, flee to Seattle or Chicago or Boulder. They might come back…some day perhaps. After all, St. Louis is "a nice place to raise a family."

A group of these young people that knew St. Louis had more to offer than just a “nice place to raise a family”. These people decided to do something about it. They wanted to show their friends that they didn’t have to leave St. Louis to have a metropolitan lifestyle. And so Metropolis was born.
